A Start...

I was able to start on my first commission last night...the bookmarks for the church member's grand children. I started with the shortest name for some reason. Last night I made the pattern and started stitching. Some of the pattern will come out of my head--it never really got onto paper.
Thinking back, this most certainly isn't my "first commission" -- I've had several over the years. This is actually the second since I got back into cross stitching, and the first since I've been trying to promote my website.

Congratulations on the commission. Looking good. I've tried cross stitching, but never mastered it.

Mom taught me when I was about nine. :) I don't think I'm the best at it, but I enjoy it. :)

@xstitcher That's the important thing. I've tried to learn on my own, and once with help, but my feeble attempts were terrible. I would still like to learn the art, but I need a lot of time to do it.
