I pulled out my laptop for the first time in ever to do some writing and came across the conclusion that several of tge keyboard letters do not seem to work. L, B and M so far. Is there any solution or suggestion for this? Or do you think its time to junk the laptop? Has this ever happened to you?

With out seeing it I wouldn't know. Is there something underneath the keys making them not work? Might just need a good vacuuming. Or Might just be time for a new laptop....

Is there a potential to fix it? I havent gotten the keyboard out - not quite sure how to do that but Im sure I could try to figure it out. What do you suggest trying to clean it with?

@maezee you shouldn't have to take anything out to clean it. Do you have the bristle attachment on your vacuum cleaner? Just use that to go over your keyboard. Or you can always get a can of air and spray it out with that. Either way works fine.

I think it may be a good idea to consider a new laptop. They do wear out. I hope you find a solution soon.

if its clean, you might need to update the driver. just go to the website of its make and look for drivers or while youre there, look for a troubleshooting link. they normally provide step by step resolution for hardware/software problem..

Ooh! Ill try this after I clean it. I have done that for a computer in the past when the sound didnt work. But do you think that would cause a few keys (and not all of the keys) to not work? Thanks fir your input!

I think your keyboard is dusty inside that's why some of the keys didn't work. Try cleaning it first.

If your Laptop is too old and now you want to fix it any how possible, Then Try to press those keys forcibly. And move the pressure from one side to another, Am sorry am unable to describe properly but i hope you understand. Well you can give it a try at your own risk. Or else you can go for a new laptop.
