The thing with hobbies, is that I want to get into something that will introduce me to a whole new experience. I was into sports and sports betting and soon enough I found myself burnt out. It was a really bad burn out. Lasted just a couple of months but I felt really bad about it. I couldn't bring myself to watch a sporting event or game on tv... cheerleaders and all. LOL! Seriously. It was bad. Anyway, one good thing about what happened was that I decided to look into different hobbies that I can pick up. Hence, stamp collecting. Yeah, smh moment if there ever is one. So, the hobby is too different from what I'm accustomed to but really not that hard to start. I've read about stamp collecting clubs locally and it seems that there are a lot and they have monthly meeting at the local post office. I've started collecting stamps already but so far managed to get my hands on those that were released recently. I don't have a lot yet but I'm planning to build up my collection. I'll concentrate on locally released stamps plus those released in other Asian countries. If I can get sports, gambling, or music related stamps, I'll gladly grab those as well. I've also asked friends based in other countries to get me stamps from their place. Even though the stamps that they send won't belong to any of the categories I've wanted, its all good!!! After all, those are still stamps that will go to my collection. LOL!!! Any of the myLotters out there into stamp collection? How about any left field hobbies or collections? Feel free to chime in.

@allen0187 Actually I am gaining more stamps because of my friends and relatives visiting me in Sinagpore. I always told them that they are not welcome in our home if there is no stamps for me. hehe

Not into stamp collecting but my sister was way back in the early 90s. There was this shop in our city which sells stamps and she would buy them almost every week. But it didn't last long. That's my sister! My hobby? In September of 2014, I saw people on Instagram posting their planners and they were oh so pretty. I like jotting down things and I love paper and stickers. I got hooked. I started buying different brands of planners in different sizes and style, as well as things to decorate my planners. I'm still into it until now.

I collected stamps many years ago, but I don't have a stamp collection now. I also had a postcard collection in the past. I bought many postcards when I travelled and my friends and relatives sent me postcards as well. I placed them all on my wall, but when I moved I gave them away. I collected pop and rock cds from the world, and I still have some of those cds.

I don't really think I collect anything anymore. I used to collect lighters, but that didn't last long since my roommate stole them all (they weren't fancy ones or anything). I collected bouncing balls growing up, I still have about 50 of them, but I don't get new ones much anymore. I also collected stamps and coins when I was really young...

Lighters... now, that's new! Too bad about the bouncing balls! Why would anyone steal those?

I haven't heard of stamp collections for years. I used to collect unusual unicorns and old books. By unusual I mean realistic and not the ones that look like Pegasus. Love old books.

You can always swap unwanted stamps with others I guess. I collected stamps as a child but I don't do it now.

I'm not into collecting anything. My sister collects small cars. She gets them from promos of gas stations.
