Random Word Post – helminth

I find a random word by flipping through my 2003 The New Webster’s Concise Dictionary and write a quick – often silly – little post about it. # “helminth – A worm, especially a parasitic intestinal worm.” Some days, to get my word I’ll just flip through a dictionary and use the first interesting word I find. But other times, if I have a few minutes to kill or if I’m listening to a podcast or something, I’ll grab my dictionary and go through and mark words with a Post-It Note. So I marked helminth last weekend, or something, and when I went to use I couldn’t remember why I had chosen it. I think I might have been tired and misread the definition, or something. But hey, worms.

I like silly, off-the-cuff words @oneoveralpha . Some become trendy and others fall into obscurity. One of my favorites is Dumboxis: The ability to be dumb and obnoxious at the same time. I think that one really applies to the Trump/Cruz campaigns.
