Scatterbrain were a New York-based metal/funk rock group that included a heavy dose of humor in their songs.
The band formed in the late 1980's, and in 1990, Scatterbrain had their first hit (in Australia, where it peaked at #14,) the hilarious "Don't Call Me Dude."
"Don't Call Me Dude" is the amusing tale of a guy who develops an aversion to the term "dude" after getting dumped by his girlfriend. The story is told through everything from doo-wop to funk metal, and it's all funny, no matter which style the band is playing.

This reminds me of one of the earliest chats my husband and I ever had when we first met online. I called him "Dude" and he told me that I can call him that as long as I always remember to put the "e" on the end. He told me in no uncertain terms that he ain't no dud! lol
