Happy 50% off CHocolate Day

United States

No, not quite yet. Atleast not for North America. Tomorrow will be fifty percent off chocolate day and I don't know, but I might go out and partake in getting some marked down candies. I'll look online first, I'd like to get a Mars easter egg fora family member who likes the Mars Bars. We don't actually carry Mars Bars here in America anymore. I"ll have to use one of the sites I shop on to get it. For those who remember me talking about an easter basket for a niece's birthday presents (to be put in)? I've already got it. It wast originally $3.00 and I got it for $1.50. It's a small plastic basket and not really easter themed so she can use it year round and even just keep her bath stuffs in it for easy storage. Whether or not you celebrate Easter, I hope your Sunday was well. We had ham , mashed potatoes and pintos that I picked up from work before leaving this morning.

@ScribbledAdNauseum We are on the same day of the week. I knew that thinking about the same thing will get us to the same place.

That's awesome you got the basket for your niece and it's universal so she can use it to store her stuff throughout the year! I don't know if I will get some candies this year.. I don't need more lol.

@infatuatedbby It IS EVIL how stores put the mark down chocolates right up front. Truly, it's not our fault for buying them, is it?

It is very quiet here (Monday) right now. There's a slight breeze and it's very sunny. Great day.

Good idea to pick up chocolate at 50% off if you can get it. I heard on the news last night that the price of chocolate was going up due to a drought where the coco trees are grown.

I had not heard that but that's a good idea for sure then. If I have it I will eat it but if I put it in the fridge (hiding it) then I'll forget all about it for several weeks!

@RichardMeister yes, it keeps just fine in the freezer. We have a few chocolates in the freezer to use for treats at Holidays already. Thanks for the info, I'll try to grab up a few bars to save for when I feel like some chocolate.

@ScribbledAdNauseum If I'm remembering right they estimate the cost of chocolate will double by this time next year. I have leftover Halloween candy that I sealed in a food saver bag and put in the freezer.

I wonder what the secret is selling something that cheap.
