Springtime Flowers in Bloom!

Texas Bluebonnets
United States
March 28, 2016 11:06am CST
I live in the beautiful Texas Hill Country and the state flower is the Bluebonnet! They are coming out along the roadside sprinkled with other assorted wild flowers! I have seen the Bluebonnets covering a field so thick they look like water! What beauty God has made for our pleasure!

I have not seen these flowers before but like my friend @jaboUK says in her comment in the UK we have Bluebell woods where blue bells carpet the woodland floor. A carpet of bluebells blowing in the wind is a beautiful sight to see

I think the Texas hill country is the most pleasant in the state. That's where the LBJ ranch is, if memory serves.

That must be a great view along side roads. How long do these flowers last? I have never seen such a thing before.

We have bluebells in England and they can just look like a blue carpet, usually in woodland. (Where have you been? I thought you'e deserted us.)

Margielynn @Margielynn - We really like to visit those fields full of bluebonnets and the Indian paint brush flowers around the little city of Brenham, Texas - and then head over to Blue Bell Ice Cream Company's ice cream sampling room to cool down after seeing all of those hot flower fields. -Gus-
