Into the Groovy #7 - "Kool Thing"

Emerging from New York's No Wave movement, Sonic Youth were a guitar-based alternative rock band with a distinctive sound. This sound came about because of the off-tune guitar play from Thurston Moore and Lee Ranaldo. The band also utilized a three-headed vocal attack, with bassist Kim Gordon joining Moore and Ranaldo in the vocal dept. "Kool Thing," which features Gordon on vocals, is from Sonic Youth's album Goo, the band's major label debut. The song also boasts a guest appearance by Public Enemy's Chuck D. The link below will take you to the official video, for which the band was dressed up as glam as glam gets. It might just be the grooviest video you'll see all day.
