The Iron Sheik what a life he has lived. I just got done watching his DVD last night, he was in the army and, he was also a amateur Greco roman wrestling champion at 180.5 pounds, he also wrestled in the Olympics in 1968 and, later became the bodyguard of the prince of Iran and, his wife, he eventually had to leave Iran for some reason fearing for his own life, in the US he became a coach for the US Olympic team from 1970 until 1972, after that was when Iron Sheiks pro wrestling career started. Iron Sheik became one of the most hated heels in the world, in reality he really loves America though and, is a patriot. Sheik was the man to finally beat Bob Baclund, after Baclund enjoyed a 6 year run as champ. Iron Sheik lost the title to the Immortal Hulk Hogan and, that was the start of Hulkamania in the then WWF. Sheik has gone through some tough times too though, his daughter was murdered and, it about killed him, he couldn't believe something like that could happen, he was always a very protective Father and, wouldn't even allow the girls to have guys over until they were out of college, then the first thing he would do is put there Boyfriends in the camel clutch and, show them how much weight he can lift, after his daughter was killed Sheik became very bad into drugs, he eventually got it under control though and, is now a member of the WWE hall of fame and, his family is doing much better. Sheik is currently 76 years old.
