Finding a brand that's not gross!

I have to face facts, I am a cottage cheese snob. So many brands are just...gross. I tried Daisy this time and while it's less gag worthy than say walmart's brand, I still am not thrilled. Sigh. One of these days I will find one I like! Now some things I am not a brand snob on. Chai I have a favorite, a cheaper brand actually that I buy in bulk off Amazon, but I like other brands. Peanut butter? I prefer one with less added sugar, but for the most part I like them all! Are you a brand snob? All the time or some of the time?

I am a brand snob some of the time as I only like certain brands of coffee and I will only use certain brands of hand soap.

there are certain brands of coffee hubby wont drink, but other than that isn't too picky. As for hand soap, I just put dawn in all the dispensers, lol

I am a brand snob for some products, pasta is an example. I want a real durum wheat pasta that does not become soggy and overcooked in no time.

sounds like its less about brand there, and more about ingreds, if you had three in front of you all real durum wheat etc, sounds like the brand wouldnt be a huge deal

@Jessicalynnt All pasta sold in Italy is all durum wheat, but the quality can be very different. I buy a brand that is made only for a supermarket chain, not the big names that export all over the world. Their pasta is far to be good.

@LadyDuck I have found that sometimes grocery store brands can be just as good as name

Some of the time yes, we have to admit that not all brand has the same quality, right?

sometimes that's it! And sometimes it just has to do with what you like. There is a name brand of chocolate here, Nestle. I like that brand for cocoa powder, but do not like their chips. They are quality, I just don't like them

Good for you - we should always be selective of what we put in our mouths to eat. If its not good, why eat it?

@Jessicalynnt imagine that . . A little squeeze taste thingy to help one decide? The empty one would be the good stuff. All sampled out

I was a brand snob about peanut butter, I preferred Skippy, but I've gotten over it since K buys whatever brand she has coupons for or are on special. Have you tried Breakstone's Cottage Cheese? It is the brand even K prefers, and she usually has no brand loyalty.

yeah, I love that one, but I can only find it in single serves so it's stupid expensive!

Large curds taste much better then the small ones. Give the large ones a try.

If I could find a brand of cottage cheese that didn't have such a high amount of sodium in it, I would be happy. The only thing I'm a brand snob on is my toilet paper. It has to be Scott's.

I am on certain things. But things like soap I'm not really picky on.
