It would be so nice to spend the time together. I had to wait until my oldest was in fifth grade before we were able to take our first vacation without kids.

@DianneN It would be really nice! I hope we will be able to because we have never had that alone time for just a few days. It will be hard to leave the kids but we need some time to get away from the stress we have had so many times.

@LovingMyBabies Yes, I understand that. I even felt uneasy when my children left me for less than 30 minutes when they went out with the dad. It's just so unusual to me.

@kaka135 The only thing stopping us would be money issues, of course. So hopefully everything will go good and we will be able to. We could use the time away from bills and the stress of life. We will miss the kids like crazy though since we are used to having them with us every moment!

@LovingMyBabies If you like things a little rustic, there are a couple KOAs near Asheville and they have cabins you can stay in for less than most hotel rooms cost. The cabins are nice and cozy though. My wife and I are going to vacation in Boone in June. We tent camped there with the boys many years ago. This time it will be just the two of us, with the dogs, in our travel trailer.
