Yes, although some people would like to think that it goes away, in fact it does not, it may be well enough managed that you no longer need medications, but it is still there.

I had asthma when I was young. While in elementary school, I used an inhaler but am not bothered by it now, although I don't do a lot of excerising which is what usually kicked in a fit when I was younger.

my friend with a positive attitude towards our physical and mental problems..i think we can cure any diseases..but the curing depends on the streanth of our will power and positive attitude. learn Yoga and practice it regularly..ur attitude to astma will change...i am sure of it.

I also have asthma since I was 2 years old. It "went away" for a while when I was 12 then when I turned 14 I got it back and It hasn't gone away since. I have severe asthma and lately have been using my albuetorl often. I really don't like asthma who would really? But I guess I have to learn to live with it.

Some say asthma does not go away, but I know many people who seem to "outgrow" asthma, or maybe its just they are no longer around the stimulus that causes asthma onset. I hope you feel better, are you in a city or in a small town with alot of wood smoke?

Yes it is a permanent disease. There is no cure for asthma. But you can be free of symptoms by avoiding what your triggers are. But unfortunately if you are like me you will then develop new triggers. Your old triggers are always there lurking in the background so you always have to be aware of them. When I was a child I was told that I would grow out of the disease. And It really seemed like I did because I had very little problems with it. But occasionally it I would have a flare up. Now it is back with a vengence. Asthma is also very often caused by environmental issues. You need to avoid the harsh chemicals that we use every day.

dear writer..i dont know to explain the asthma and its reasons in medical terminology..but in my experience and knowledge i have heard that asthma can be cured with yoga practice. just try "PATHA HAST-ASANA" and "MATSY-ASANA" i am sure that u will get wonderful results..do some simple PRANAYAMS..just sit in a good, pure and calm atmosphere and hold ur body in straight and watch the breath goes in and out..dont exert any force on it but just watch..and after just 3 min take a little more deep inhaletion and exhaletion and again take deep breath and let the breath go out smoothly..do it comfortable..u give maximum attention to ur breath..and the movements of ur stomatch with the breath in and out..i think within three weeks u will get results..and have a regular practice in regular period at a particular time..everyday two times. take care that u should not hold the breath inside or out side..but just go with the process...and i am with pleasure for helping u if u want more details..best of luck.
