Way back home from my workplace half an hour ago,I happened to pass from in front of my friend's bookshop. He called out to me,'Hey,Jai !' I stopped my bike and turned to him. 'I have something for you.Would you like to see it?' He said smilingly. Curious,I got down from my bike and stepped in the shop. 'Wait a bit..'He said, went in and came back with a book in his hand. 'This book has been in my shop for more than three years. This is the only copy left.Nobody bought it,and perhaps, nobody will.I,too, had completely forgotten it before I chanced to find it in a pile of books.I think,it's the kind of book you have been looking for.'He said. I cast a glance on the cover. It was 'Natural Grammar' by Scott Thornbury, published by Oxford University Press. A cursory glance on the cover and the introduction made me convinced that my friend was right. It must be the kind of grammar book I have been looking for. The book is organized around the key words of the English language, such as as,all,at,the,been,being,by,like,long,too..and so on.The writer shows how these keywords are used in a natural way and in what context. With each keyword set phrases are also mentioned. I asked him the price. 'The printed price is Rs.195,' He said,'But you may take it only for Rs.10.'He handed over the book to me. I have bought the book.Tonight I'll read it.I hope it proves to be a serendipitous shopping.

Wow, he almost gives it to you free of charge! I think he must have paid Rs 100 for it, and yet he sells it to you at a loss. No way the cost price is Rs10 when the selling price is so much higher.
