How do you organize your closet?

It is my dream to have an actual closet but now I make do with this indent of the house with a wood bar to hang my clothing. Anyway I like hanging my clothing by types and colors. It goes
My covers so that is rainbow the white, and Grey and black. Then dresses those go by colors, and then it is tank tops, and band tees, and t-shirts, and skirts, and pants, and and then there is my boyfriend's stuff like dresses shirts, and t-shirts and then his pants. And after all of that goes random clothing I don't wear but I will one day or momentos like a preschool shirt or something I wore at graduation.

Did you say organize, haha? Well I do separate summer from winter in two closets, otherwise stack stuff in top shelf, really need some plastic boxes!

That is organized enough! haha, those plastic boxes do come in handy. I know my mom has bin after bin with her sweaters. I do'nt have that many sweaters because I am a jacket weareer.

@DesirousDreamer yes, now if I can just get it done! I fell almost a year ago and torn my meniscus, had surgery but never recovered, now I am having knee replacement in June!

@Margielynn ooh that sounds painful. I had knee surgery, I tore my MPFL ligament and a tendon. I walked on that injury for almost 7 years. My surgery told me I shouldn't have been able to walk but some how i could. I wish you the best on your replacement!

If the shirt hangs, I put it on a hanger and put it in a cluster of like shirts. If they are folded then I put them where folded things go, which is outside of the closet in another piece of furniture. Pants follow the same steps. Shoes go on their own rack, while dress shoes stay in their boxes typically to keep dust-free. Anything else becomes clutter and I have a hard time organizing clutter because I like entropy.

I have a dresser but it is small and mostly used for pj's and undergarments haha

@DesirousDreamer I had one of those until I got something bigger, and then I got closet space. Now I have all three for storage.
