Fun In The Autumn Sun!

Hi all. I have been in a very introspective mood of late. The first few months of this year have been so strange, as I have said before.
Lately I have surrounded myself with family and friends, and immersed myself in daily life, needed to ground myself in reality. Been to some barbecues. Had a pizza get together with friends last week Thursday. Left the virtual world a bit.
I lost a friend, gained a friend, and lost him again. He could not make up his mind if he had space for me in his life or not. Plus, we are too much alike, way too much alike.
So, it is probably for the best that we seem to no longer have much to say to each other. Have you had friends that couldn't decide if they had time for you in their lives or not?
I also learnt once again that certain things make us stronger, we survive through things we think we won't.
I have fantastic people in my life, I wish everything could be fantastic, but, it is not, so that is why I am so thankful for the fantastic people in my life, when the rest is stressful and tough, the people make up for it.
As you can see in the photo, that a friend of mine took, yesterday (Saturday) I threw a fun pose under the South African autumn sun, still 87.8 Fahrenheit, 31 degrees Celsius in JHB! We were getting ready to barbecue.

You have a bright sunny day in that nice photo of yours! I'm sorry you lost that friend again but happy to note that you have fantastic people in your life. I also have fantastic people that help me a lot to move on easily after some failures in life.

@LadyDuck , good it is warmer by you, and not hot. We have had terrible heat all summer and it does not want to let go in autumn, we are hoping for cooler temps soon. Yes, having too much in common is not always a good thing :/ .

you have a beautiful selfie, my friend. regarding my past relationships with my friends, there was one whom I blocked on FB because he commented that I should not put his name on friend request in a certain online game i play, so he is permanently blocked. he was my classmate in elementary years

Could definitely handle your temps! I'm sitting here in the basement, the only spot left in the house big enough to fit my desk and I'm freezing! Bring on the 30 something temps. No problem here lol!

@Hate2Iron , why can the year not just be filled with glorious mild weather? No freezing winter, no sweltering fiery summer, just smack dab perfect temps? Perfect temps would be bliss. I hope you get warmer weather soon! :)

We all have moments of doubts and moments of sadness because of disappointment. Stay positive and look forward to finding a good friend with time for you.. You will find one, I just know it. It was cold today as i went out with a friend for lunch. The fields and vineyards are melting and there is water everywhere. The snow is going, slowly but with the amount of water around we know it won't be long.

@lilnana1111 , definitely enjoy your mild weather, because after this summer I experienced, anyone heading into a furnace like summer has my sympathy! I hope your nice weather continues for a while yet. :)

To me, the best friendship is where both parties can come to a constructive consensus about what to do. I wouldn't push my good friend out of my life, instead I would opt for a cool off period.

@BelleStarr , yeah, he did not bring a positive energy, yet I still miss him, ugh. I will eventually accept that him and me not talking is for the best.

A few times...but in some way, after time, I began to see that not as bad thing but as good:)., Like, if ppl caused pain, their being gone or out of my life, it wasn't bad thing, but good. Of course, when my brakes failed in the car the other day, my reaction was to start nervously giggling...so, let's say, my perspective on life is...a little different:)? I hope you feel better soon though:((.

@HebrewGreekStudies , you are right, when someone is not good for us, it is good if they are no longer a part of our life, even if it hurts the heart. Eek, brakes failing, eek! Your nerves must've been shot! Please take care of yourself! Thank you, I will get there :) .
