Overexaggerating everything

My friend I try to avoid being around her for this reason. I don't need this drama and crap in my life. She sits on disability she claims she is dying over any little thing. She stopped her seizure meds because she wanted to go on disability. This is the same girl who in the 10 years I've known her can't hold a job. Her parents never made her do anything. She acts very childish even being 38, she acts like in her teens. She will meet guys off the internet, she claims shes an alcoholic and goes to meetings (if she is an alcholic I'd hate to see what they call me because I drink way more than her). A few months ago she got in a snoot over something, and really I have more important things to worry about than her saying I did something (in which I have no clue what this was). So I just said wahtever I have to work, have my animals, and my days off I don't want to be trying to get her attention because she has nothing else in her life. She calls me and says her mom has some rare disease and dying. How true is this?. Her mom could have a wart on her foot and she says she's dying. When I listened to the message I sort of thought I'm sure she is. It's boy cry wolf scenerio. I just don't feel like talking to her right now because all she talks about is her seizures, how doctors wont do anything, and all these 10 guys shes dating.

I dont see myself being friends with such a person,l have my issues and no space to accommodate external drama. She has to grow up if she wants to be taken seriously or if she wants to keep her friendships.

I have more important things to deal with and yes a call once in awhile but not every day all day. She has nothing else in her life, no hobbies nothing. I tried getting her to join MyLot and Swagbucks but then she whined about that too.

@miniam Exactly, she has never lived on her own, or paid a bill on her own. She has never held a job and then makes excuses. I have a lot more health issues, and can hold 2 -3 jobs at a time because i have too. She stubs her toy and it's the end of the world.

@ricki_911 Wonder what her life will be like in 20 years, she sound like someone living in the moment not caring what tomorrow will bring and how she will cope if/when the unknowm come along

Just avoid this kind of persons. The truth is that everyone is dying! Who is not dying? We are all growing older and older and getting closer and closer to the grave. That does not mean we have to suck the energy out of our friends.

That is my point of view, and yes I'd believe it more if she didn't say she was dying from a hang nail.

@ricki_911 I think you will die sooner if you talk to her a minute more.

@scheng1 I think so. I just don't see sitting on the phone for hours talking about guys she meets online. I mentioned getting hobbies, camping, and so on but she does nothing all day and then wonders why she is bored.

I know a lot of people that cry wolf. I gave up on them

Yes, it is easier to cut out the drama and live your life.

You can only call wolf so many times before no one will believe you anymore.

Exactly. She has done this for years, and half of what she says I don't believe her.

I don"t blame you. I don't like being around those who aren't responsible for themselves and cause drama where ever they are. I have zero tolerance for it. Have a blessed day

I completely agree. We are at different points in our lives, and she just wants drama. She can't support herself, and depends on way too many people.
