Yesterday there were thunders and lightning all day while the rain poured over the city.
As I live very close to the mountains, the whole dance seemed to be over my head. Fortunatly my husband taught me to count the space between a lightning and its thunder. If I could count to 10, the tempest was far away and I was safe.
Still. even if the tempest seemed to be over the mountains, I did not like it. However, the rain was a blessing. There has not been any rain at all and farmers need it.
Last night I went to bed very late and today I woke up VERY late and just because one of my close friends called and asked me if I was going to be here after lunch so that she could come for a visit.
I invited her to tea (coffee really). I hope I have time for a nap. I´m half asleep still and it is almost midday.
Still, last night it was fun. As I could not sleep, I saw two episodes of Mis Fisher´s murder stories
What do you do when you cannot sleep for some reason?

I get on the computer and myLot or else watch Netflix.
I usually wind up going back to sleep, but sometimes not.
Did the lightning keep you up then Marguicha?

@marguicha I would be able to ignore it to a fair degree.

I was dry and comfy. But there was too much noise to go to sleep.

Here this is the first rain of the year. I know many people welcomed it.

It depends. Sometimes I will read or watch television. Other times I will play with one of my electronics. Then there are times when I will practice relaxation techniques to try to help myself fall asleep.
