National Beer Day

Today, April 7th, is National Beer Day here in the United States. Why April 7th, and why on a Thursday? Those are trivial things that don't matter. What matters is that it's National Beer Day, and I'm going to celebrate! I'm very fortunate that I don't have to work tomorrow, so after work today I headed over to my favorite local craft brewery to enjoy some good, quality beer! The beauty of craft beer is that the alcohol content is so high that it only takes 1-2 beers to get me feeling really good, so I don't have to pound beers all night to get that nice little buzz going (don't worry, I didn't drive...I took Uber). The brewery had a nice special release milk stout on tap tonight, with 11.5% alcohol content. It was aged in oak barrels and had a slight hint of oak in it, which gave it a crisp, lovely taste. On the other side of the world, in Australia, I hope my drinking buddy @vivaladani13 can join me for a beer at her favorite local pub. It's probably not National Beer Day in Australia, but tonight I make her an honorary American so that she can join us in celebrating! Did any of you enjoy a nice cold beer today?
