Its already so pretty here in the calif. desert. But getting hot all ready. We had 90 weather in feb. Just means june july and august will be like hell. Hot hot and more hot. I wished i lived where it was 70-75 everyday of the year. At least the plants like this heat here.

@kayshope I've got a couple tulips ready to bloom, but the chill air is making them slow about the blossoms opening

Oh wow, you live at the Springs. You do get the blast furnace of heat in summer. It must be gloomy today your way as it is up here in LA.

But surely the plants don't like it there in the summer? I wouldn't like that heat.

they like this type of weather we have now. 75-90 degrees for a few months. Then they die in june july when its 100s here.

My suggestion, take on the attitude of the plants cause if Feb was that hot, yep the summer months will be in the triple digits in many places

Your air conditioner will be working overtime in June, July and August. You might even have a 125 degree day in there somewhere, I remember one time we had that in Mesa and it affected tires, batteries and other parts on the vehicle. Sometimes it gets way to hot. The palm tress will not mind.

It does every year. Funny how bills are 40.00 in winter here and 300.00-400.00 in summer months..

Well around where I live, Canada, we have winters, and in April, the temperature hover around 40 degrees F, and lower.

The plants like your weather now, but they do not like when the temperature goes up to 110 F, that I remember was usual in Summer.
