I am putting myself to a goal right now.I thought how much do we spend on things we don't need?.Now I looked around and started going through things. I want to work away at getting my debt down. Not that owe a lot just under $2,000. I literally want to start from nothing and build up. You tend to buy this or that and really do you need it?. I rarely shop to begin with, and just the odd time I will go to the store, and buy this this week or that next week. So I want to really declutter everything down to food as well.

I hope you can stick with this plan Ricki. I am sure you will as you have written it down. That always helps me.

When I look at my bank realistically all my money goes to food, and gas. Not as if I buy that much things, but its a goal and possible even thinking of eating out will stop that.

@TiarasOceanView Very seldomly do and usually have a gift card. But I was just finding it easier to grab a sandwhich on the go from the store.

I am trying to put that goal in but it's not working. I need to stop by unnecessary items but I always make reason for stuff I have been buying lately. I hope it works out for you!!

I looked at my spending habits and I am thinking what do I buy?. Most of it is gas for the car, and food. So I am looking at those and trying to figure out how I can cut it back.

It's hard to control yourself to buy something sometimes if you don't need it. But I hope you will be able to do it now that you're aware.

I only buy things when we really need something. I use things until they can no longer be used. Than I replace them.

Its so funny that I saw your post because I was just talking about this same subject last night. It always happens where before I go to target specifically and I say I need 3 things but I ALWAYS come out with 2 bags full of stuff. Target has got this evil power over me and as soon as I walk int hose doors all bets are off. I need to start saying no!

I do this for food shopping especially if I know I shouldn't get anything more. I have been avoiding even going to the store in general.
