I am really thinking something is wrong with me. I am enjoying the quiet more then I should. I don't know what it is but,I want to watch tv. I just want to be in the peace and quiet more. I see different shows on in my mind and wonder will I enjoy it. But,the joy of not having the tv on and being surrounded by the sound of computer keys is making me happy. My neighbors are screaming so,I will have to figure something out soon. I need to know why I love the quiet so much. It seems that life is a bit noisy and I am missing out on stuff. I almost miss my mom's party because,I did not want to be around people and music.

I love peace and quiet too - my husband has the TV on a lot, but as soon as he goes to bed, off it goes.

Tony always has it on so if he is not home it goes off too.

there is nothing wrong with a love of periods of total silence and tranquility

I like the quite sometimes and I like to be alone sometimes. I also like to be around small groups of people.

I dont think anything is wrong with you. I love the quiet because I do live in a noisy world. You`ll get your fix of the quietness and then you`ll be back out socializing soon. I HAVE to go through these phases to keep my sanity. Some days I will just listen to soft music and as my days go I up the beat but before I stop for the day I go a little slower, softer.

nothing wrong with some peace and quiet. I prefer it to getting smashed at the loudest bar, then losing your voice due to shouting.

Part of it could just be age. Sounds like you are addicted to TV and the company/noise it provides. You have gotten used to being alone. Maybe a little anxiety about going out because of your foot.

I love sitting by myself and enjoy the quiet. When I am petsitting it is change and a different life sort of speaking.
