The mystery of the dry mouth blues

I woke up the other night with the driest mouth- it was like all the moisture had been removed and drained overnight. It reminded me of how dry my mouth was after surgery last time where I felt I couldn't even open it. Needless to say I got up and drank some water- but it kept recurring. The next day I was tidying up and came across the Italian bottle of red wine my daughter had brought over during her visit. It was wonderful and we really enjoyed it. It was a small bottle and between her, my husband and I, we each had about a glass and a half during that time and then she went home. I realized that was the culprit for me even though neither my husband or my daughter experienced the same thing. I think I'll be sticking to known brands after that. I have had headaches with certain red wines but this was a new one. pixabay

I used to get headaches, but thank goodness not anymore. Just finished my daily glass of vino.
