Songs of the New Millennium

I love music because it relaxes me and I really enjoy listening to it. However, what I have noticed is that there is no sense in some of the lyrics anymore. It seems as if they are just chanting something and using a bit of electronic music to kind of spice up the notes a bit.
It may just be me but what about you? Are you into today's songs? Maybe you can convince me to try it again

yes, very true. Even the music videos, I don't get them anymore. Before, there used to be a story which is what the song is all about and that is being interpreted visually through the video but now, all these jumping and other stuff that they do... I don't get it anymore.
I don't watch MTV and Channel V anymore. My eyes get watery after seeing all the jumping and butt thumping!
