Random Word Post – orthoepy

I find a random word by flipping through my 2003 The New Webster’s Concise Dictionary and write a quick – often silly – little post about it. # “orthoepy – 1 The art of correct pronunciation. 2 Pronunciation in general. From the Greek orthos right and epos a word.” I would give the pronunciation guide so you can correctly pronunciation this pronunciation word, but I don’t think upside down e’s and the lines over letters show up. But how you think this sounds is probably close.

Call me a word geek, but I find that interesting. I studied Latin for many years and am fascinated by word origin, I will use that one...thank you.
