The vacuum cleaner is evil

The vacuum cleaner at work may be possessed. Or maybe, it just drinks or shoots up. I don't know much about its life in the shed.
It is a canister type. It should follow me as I pull it along. Guess again. It lurches, it bashes against everything. It catches the cord under every door and sometimes gets tipsy and dumps all the tools out of the well on top. The naughty thing just wants to show me its bottom.
Do you have any suggestions? Is there a vacuum rehab? Is it too late?

sounds like it needs humanely euthenising with a lump hammer, bonfire and dropping in a lake before you adopt its replacement

Perhaps you should into getting an exorcist to get rid of the demon dust bunnies that have taken control of the vacuum cleaner.
