It takes courage to stand up for those who are oppressed, betrayed, belittled and humiliated in public. It takes courage to be in the firing line defending them and then be abused by their oppressors..
It was very emotionally draining , but I stood by them . But then for some insane reasons, they joined the others in oppressing , betraying , belittling and humiliating themselves.
In the end, they too abused me. I guess, none of them really understand the true meaning of human dignity. In that family, I always find myself all alone .. It takes courage to accept defeat. But I am at peace with myself .. I lost the war (them) but I won the battle (me)..
Have you ever experienced that kind of insanity? ..lol.. I can laugh about it now that i found myself standing all alone in my conviction. Never again will I stand up for anyone except my own children ..

@SIMPLYD At first I thought of setting up a business train and employ people who can't find jobs but it was difficult to deal with the people over there 
So I just go home there for holidays ..

It is really sad when we are betrayed by those who we stood up for but in the end, the true family and friends will stand by you and with you through everything. I stand by my children through anything.

Well, even when we fail, standing up for what we believe is a good way to live. You never know when someone else will learn the lesson from what we've tried to do. I believe that something good always comes from the good we put out into the universe...even if we never know about it. :)
