While waiting to leave for the theater.I thought to get a post in. Do you wash your article after buying a new shirt, pants, sweater etc. Every time I buy something new.Goes in the wash. Why?for me as you know that articles that being sold are handle by a lot of people.Germs for one.Maybe a bug or two.If I had a bug send it back. There is a lot of germs out there.I like to be careful. I am not a germ freak. But it pays. Do you wash your clothing when you buy them?

I always wash shirts before wearing them, but veripy little else. I do the same with bed sheets, especially those with rupich colours which may stain the bed otherwise.

I am not a germ freak but I wash everything after buying it. Not only clothes, but dishes and so on. Besides that, I wash my hands every time I touch money and wash them a lot while cooking. Maybe I am a germ freak of sorts, after all.

I do but I do it to get the chemicals out that are used on the fabric to make it look good before you wear it. Your reasons are good too, I just always have washed fabrics because of the chemicals, I have tender skin.

Well, they were moments were I wear them before I throw them to the hamper and then wash them. But most of the time when I'm not in the mood, i just wash them first.

No, I would never do that. Just in case the first time I wear it, it falls apart - then I can take it back. If I've already washed it, I'm not so sure.

If something falls apart the first time you wash it it def. should go back to the store.

I wash all clothes that I buy before I wear them for the first time. I don't know where the clothes have been, so it's always safer to wash them.

Yep. Especially dark jeans because they usually are loaded with dyes and underwear because you just never know about those. The clothing stores in my area will not even allow customers to take underwear into the dressing room, but sometimes there isn't anybody at the desk to stop them.
