I am a bit aggravated at the moment. It happened all of a sudden and I didn't do anything different, well other then update java. A couple of programs on my computer, designed to launch games, won't work. I've tried uninstalling, reinstalling, clearing the registry on CCleaner, Restarting the computer, troubleshooting the compatibility. They won't open. They load for the barest of seconds and that's it. Any other suggestions?

@ScribbledAdNauseum Me too, I used to be better at them. But then they became smarter than me.

You might need to delete them and then reinstall them to make them work.

The problem may be due to a conflict with the java update, especially if the games are older ones. Try running system restore to an earlier date than when the java was updated. If this corrects the issue then it was a java conflict, but either way you will know for certain whether to rule that out.

I did a bit of researching on my own. I am not sure WHAT I did this morning but I was able to open the programs temporary. I had to close them as I was trying another java (the java online apparently? I didn't know it existed but it's an official thing from oracle) and now I can't get it to open back up. I hope I don't have to do a system restore, those haven't always worked out in my favor.

Do you have any type of blockers that would interfere with these?

Oh no :( No idea I am afraid. Maybe the Java update is to blame?

You used windows 10 as a tag, yet didn't mention it in this post. Did you recently update to windows 10, or have you had it for a while? I'm not updating to that os as yet, because I'll need an installation disk that I don't have for one main program that I use. Do you not have any computer person you can ask about your computer? Since you're in the US, there may be someone at your local mall that would be able to help you out if no one here has suggestions that work.
