I know exactly the dangers of watching videos on youtube especially when my kids are concerned. However I am very glad that this same thing actually helps my kids to learn something new which at the same time helps me to save as well. I am talking about the tutorials there.
I have never learned to play any musical instruments in my whole life and I believe its too late for me to learn. But with the help of youtube tutorials, my kids were able to learn to play some musical instruments like guitar, keyboard, piano and the likes.
Is there something that you are thankful for in youtube?

yeah, because there are so many ways to learn now, not just from teachers and classrooms, paying for lessons for private tutors, etc. kids today are independent and fast learners and learn visually (videos, how-to pictures).

Even if i don't go to youtube to watch any of those things , i am so thankful to it because i get to watch some shows from GMA that i want to watch because i am at work when they were shown . 
But as to ABS CBN shows , i have the iWantTV app on my old iPad.

That is correct. It does not only offer tutorials but there are also shows that we can watch there.

I think everything has its pros and cons. So yeah watching videos on you tube might be dangerous, in a way. But on the contrary you cannot deny the fact that it serves many purposes.
It helps you to learn anything you wish to learn right from cooking, stitching to fixing computer problems.
Its helps us in all.It is one solution to every problem.
But i would quote "its all about perception and the way you use it ". Like you can use a knife to cut vegetables or to cut yourself.
