Today I receive a cash gift of $100 from an aunt. She is so lucky to win the lucky draw for the total cash prize of $7,000. Since she has to go down to the factory to collect her cash gift, and she is hesitated to go on her own, I offer to go with her. We collect the check, bank in the check, go to the temple to pray and donate to the temple fund, have lunch together, and finally go home. It takes us a better part of the whole day, since we are not living near to each other. She is so happy that she gives me a cash gift of $100. I am very glad for her, even though I wish I am the recipient of the $7000 lucky draw prize.

Not exactly a generous lady! After all, she takes up nearly a day of my time, and I have to pay for my own transportation cost. I am happy for her, though I am jealous as well. I sure hope that I am the winner of $7000.

How much is 100$ USD in singapore? I like winning such small gifts though.

That time the US dollar was very low, and the cost of living in Singapore is very high, so a hundred dollars is not a lot of money. If you think about money, it is best to compare to the cost of living.

@skysnap If she moves here to work, she would have earned much more than she had ever earned before. Her income will be enough to take care of all expenses.

@allknowing I allow myself too much ice cream recently! I have to cut back on it for health reason! Ice cream, chocolate and coffee are extremely addictive. Once i start to have one, I will think about getting the next one. and then the next one. Recently the weather is so hot and dry, and I simply order ice cream from McDonald's every day.

Yes, I have spent it all. It is not that much money, though it is a great gift. When I go to the supermarket, my purchase always comes to $40. After topping up my transport cash value card, grocery shopping, and a meal outside, there is nothing left!

@maxen07 same here. I hope to be lucky in lottery and other lucky draw too. Once i completed the lucky draw form, and i hope to win a trip to Alaska, but I did not win that one. I just hope that I win something big one day.

@cherriefic The biggest win I've had is 300 on my son's sixth birthday. Still, money is money. Then again it's gambling, you win, you lose. Sometimes you gotta take a chance but only if you can handle the loss.

I have never won any lottery draw before. That's because I didn't buy any tickets at all.

That is not a lottery. It is a lucky draw. There are many lucky draws that we can take part, such as the supermarket lucky draw that allows you to travel to some places or win cash prize or win shopping voucher.

@sol_cee Similar to that, except that you do not have to pay money for the ticket. When you buy something, they will ask you to complete the lucky draw form, and attached the receipt to prove that you have bought the items, and you have to send to the manufacturer.

Already spent all of it. I go to the supermarket and buy a lot of things with it, and use the balance for a meal, and topping up the cash card for public transportation.

I think the supermarkets in your country have all sorts of lucky draws too. Perhaps you have not participate enough! I always fill in the forms, especially for those that allow you to travel to another country! I have never won the travel prize, and I will not give up hoping!

Yes, I am happy for her, though I am jealous like hell! I sure wish I am the one winning that $7,000. I doubt I will give her $100 if I win such a large sum of money. Maybe I will give her just $50, and give more to my mum.

She's lucky because she knows how to give, actually I think it's not luck but a natural law.

Yes, I am happy for her too. Though I rather that I am the one collecting the prize! Anyway a $100 is always useful, better than nothing at all.

Congrats to your aunt who won the lucky draw and I think you also win but in small amount compared to your aunt. Good that she gives you a share and congrats also for that.

I wish to win a big prize! The chance of winning a big prize and a small prize is the same, so I want to win a big one. If I can win a Mercedes, that will make my day!

Since she takes up most of my day, it is right that she gives something to me. I just did not expect that she gave me $100. I thought she will just buy me lunch or something.

Wow, I think that uncle is silly to let everyone knows about it! If my aunt wins so much money, she will not ask me to go with her. She knows that once I get to know about it, I will tell my family, and soon all the relatives will know about her good luck. I think my aunt will act like a poor person after she wins a million dollars.

@scheng1 I think he discovered he won with his family so he had no choice. Well I don't think it's a bad thing, everyone would be happy for her. Ahah why do you think that?

A substantial reward. Whether it is from a lottery or sweepstakes product of filling the lottery. As some in supermarkets?

Over here, the manufacturers and supermarkets are always running lucky draw promotions. Sometimes the prize is very good, as in fully paid vacation to another country.
