Today I got a lovely package from my grandma and what was inside 2 bags of rice and la la la laaaaaa A CAN OPENER! Ahh I'm so happy! I can actually open up cans now! We also go a package from Eric's grandma that should have been here last week but post offices like to be lazy and not even try to clear up any confusion. It had a few boiling pots and some cooking spoons (what are those even called?) but yeah! now we can actually cook stuff! I'm so happy! No more sink food!

Sure glad you received it, don't know what sink food is and not really sure I want to know.

Basically you just put a bowl in the sink filled with whatever and have hot water go around it and just have it sit forever haha

How could you have lived without a can opener? Mystery to me.

... and why not simply go down the local supermarket?

I lived without a can opener for a while. It was ugly. I used a hammer and screw driver. Life is so much easier with a can opener.

@MGjhaud Yeah haha but now we have like 4 can openers XD because his friend just gave us another one and there are two more coming in the mail at some point from his mom. It is hilarious.

Yeah I posted about not having a can opener because we could not afford one. We could not bring any cooking items with us because we had to fly out here with only one suitcase each and one carry on.

I am happy for you! Not having a can opener can be a pain, glad you have one now. =) And not being able to afford things when moving somewhere is so tough-I know that first hand!

It is the worst especially when I had so much and not I'm barely scraping by. Ugh adultness.

That is great that you are so happy over rice and a can opener. I know how it feels not to be able to cook.

This is my first time away from home so it has been tough. Any little thing I am so happy about!
