Preiti alerted me this morning. I followed her and there he was coolly sitting under the bird bath. Being pitch black I did not spot him at first but there he was staring at me. I am sure he too will slowly move towards the kitchen just as the other one who does not meow. I will not feed this guy as that would mean soon I will have a line near my kitichen door. One is enough even if he does meow I kind of like him.

He looks like a black panther, and looks in good condition. Perhaps he's just popped in and has a home nearby.

lol, 'tis true - if ya feed 'em once, they tend to tell all the rest 'n soon ya got a herd'f 'em. i know we used to've 'bout 40 feral cats 'round here many years 'go. mamaw (rest her soul) didn't wish 'em to starve'r be cold durin' the winter, so started cookin' 3 cats oatmeal e'ery eve. the neighbor 'cross the road was also givin' 'em fresh cows milk'n the mornin'. the bonus to such was no rattle snakes 'n nary a mouse to be seen :)

It would be very easy to gather a great number of stray cats I would think.

I like to see them around but feeding them all would be quite troublesome.

@JudyEv Too much of a hassle really considering they do not per se belong to us.

@allknowing I can imagine it would be a really bad idea to start feeding them all.
