2nd renovation of neighbor's house

This morning a group of workmen came into our village and proceeded to the newly-sold foreclosed house of our former neighbor. I have again met the new owner yesterday as he was trying to see if the occupant of their adjacent house was in . Out of respect, he wanted to inform his neighbor that he was putting up additional angle bars on top of the fence between their properties. I told him that the lone occupant, an English instructor in the university and daughter of a former officemate, was always out of the house. Our new neighbor noticed that our fence was low and one could easily jump over it. We intentionally did this just to establish the perimeter of our property and allow free flow of fresh air. I told him that our village was safe and peaceful except during the time when the former owner of his house was around because they had many boarders and one of them (who supposedly had a nervous breakdown) stole some decorations placed on a table at our front window. During our conversation yesterday, I learned from the new owner that they will be doing some renovation work on the house like the floor tiles, the bathrooms and the cabinets. He also planned to put up some roofing on the open rooftop and planned to build a garage for their car (a Toyota Avanza). They have another new car coming, a Toyota Wigo which is still to be delivered. So, this is the second time that the house will undergo renovation though the first was just done about 2 years ago. Anyway, it's their house and it's their choice :)
