It is coldish here and my fingers are asking for a coffee break from mylotting. Even though it is sunny, it is very chilly. Here it is often that the day after it rains it is colder than when it is actually raining. I took out a chicken breast and some thighs to cook a lunch for Thrusday. I invited my aunt and she wants me to cook the same dish I did for her when she invited me on vacations in summer. I also invited my favorite cousin, Carlos. He almost never sees her as he lives in San Fernando. I will steal a part of the breast as I have 4 thighs and a big breast. Today I´m alone so I´ll cook a stew just for myself and get the chicken in tomato sauce for Thursday done too. Do you cook in advance for visitors?

I usually cook the day before at least when I have a party.

Sounds delicious! Yes, if I am expecting someone then I will cook or bake something. But if they are a surprise visit I will bring coffee or tea with cookies or something.

My freezer helps a lot with surprise guests. And I always have ready made sauces and pesto around to go with some pasta.

It is suppose to be in the 90s here today in Texas! But I love a bowl of soup hot or cold weather! Sounds yummy!

I will not have a soupy stew, but rather a juicy main dish with plenty of veggies.

The stew sounds unbelievable! If I was expecting someone and I felt like doing something special, cooking would definitely be part of that specialty.
