May Day In Wales

April 26, 2016 8:33am CST
I'm originally from the northern part of England, we moved to South Wales last year. So this will be my first May Day in Wales. Where I'm from originally they didn't really do much for may day. Maybe some morris dancers in the town centre and a parade and that was about it. Here they do all that, plus fayres/fetes, aswell as a lot of other stuff. Across the Northern Hemisphere a day in may is celebrated in a lot of countries for various reasons, I was wondering what do they do where other people live?

There's quite a few things going on across gloucestershire. There's some tudor jousting at berkeley castle and a victorian may day at sudeley castle. Then there the usual may day celebrations in a lot of the villages. I haven't been for years but when I was in the scouts we used to do morris dancing every year at tewkesbury may day things.

@Brodiedo83 It would be if I was going to anything but I doubt I will. Did you know you don't have to type smilies? below and left of the box that you type in there is "mylot Code" that's where you'll find all the smilies.

@Mike197602 I know, I find it faster to just type them but I really should learn the codes for the emoticons so I just type them

I really love watching Morris dancers - they are part of our heritage.
