After eating that I should not be hungry but for some reason I am. However as my blood sugar was one thirty this afternoon at 3;30 and I ate at 4 I did not eat the corn that was also on my plate. I wish thay they did not offer corn so much of the time as I have diverticuli in my colon and corn and nuts and seeds are no nos for us who have these litlle sacs as those can get stuck in the little sacs and get infected causinh diverticulitis painful cramps that are caused by an infections and generally cause you to be hospitalized as you generally have non stop diarrhea from this. Antibiotics and bed rest just from eating wrong foods. A lot of us have this condition and we just by pass those foods and stay well. No sense asking to be ill if you can easily avoid it.

You would think that a restaurant for seniors would have a better handle on the things that shouldn't be eating wouldn't you?

@Hatley Sorry, I realize that I know it is the dining room I just stated it wrong but where my mother is they know when people have dietary issues and serve them food accordingly. They must have a dietitian on staff?

It was thought I might have had that when I was in high school. I had nonstop diaherrea for years no matter what I ate. It was terrible being in school with it all the time. Once I got pregnant with my daughter it stopped and I have never had the problems again.

@Hatley It may not have been what was really wrong with me. They just brushed everything off at the doctor instead of really bothering to find out why I was so sick all the time.

If the ribs had sauce they were high in sugar, and the baked beans are a starch in a sauce of sugar. You have probably spiked and crashed and are hungry now for sure. Corn would have made it even worse. At least that is what happens when I eat those things.

I don't understand how the staff doesn't have a list for everyone living there with their foods restrictions? It would make sense.
