Good morning. We have a great day lined up today. We normally do not wash our clothes at home.We go to the laundromat. Most of the winter.Today is very sunny and going to hang out the clothes on the line in our yard.I love seeing clothes on the clothes line.Hanging in line and full of colors.I love the fresh air smell on the clothes. We still wash at the Laundromat. Bring the clothes and hand them out.I love it call me weird but to hang them out. Sort of display and the gentle wind blowing them around. Do you have a clothes line? The photo is not mine.I picked this out as this is so similar to our yard. Photo public domaine

I would go nuts if I had to go to the laundromat to do wash. Hang outside, no way - the birds would poop all over and things would have to be rewashed...I gave that up years ago...

@amadeo My parents never owned a dryer so they hung out or in bad weather in the basement. I hate stiff scratchy towels so hanging out was never in the plan for me. I know they smell good but time is more important to me.

I am like you, I love the smell of the laundry freshly dried outside. It reminds me of my childhood.

My mom used to do that - it was my job to bring the dry clothes in. But I have given in to modern conveniences - I admit I use the dryer all the time. We have mostly dirt in the yard - and with the winds right now, it probably wouldn't be good for hanging laundry. Is your yard like this? Hubby still talks about how green it is in NH . . . I would love to go see for myself . . . that would motivate me to hang some laundry outside!

@amadeo They don't want to mar the beauty of our town with laundry flapping in the breeze. Ridiculous! The homes are on a minimum of 1 1/2 acres and are far apart from the neighboring homes.

I have a washing machine but dry my clothes on an outside line. I have a dryer but don't need to use it very often.

I used to have a clothes line but I have one of those things that stands up that you hang the clothes on to dry and when it is nice and sunny I put them to dry on the porch and the sun does its work in getting them dry.

We wash and dry them in our washing machine and dryer. No laundromat here.
