Looking for an AC

With the kind of heat we are experiencing here, I am now considering buying a new AC for my workplace. I have canvassed to different stores this afternoon regarding the prices, the terms for installment payments, and the better brand. So I now come up with two choices. One is window type and the other one is split type, both are 1HP and the price are also almost the same. The price is about $500 and both are offered at zero % interest for 12 months. The difference is that the window type will consume around P10 per hour in electricity while the split type will only consume P6 per hour. But there will be an installation fee for the split type which costs around $100. I don't yet have money for the installation fee but I am thinking that it would be wiser to buy the one with less electricity consumption.

I guess even in the winter when not in use the installed ac will be okay? It might be quiet too?

@LdeL0318 But you will not use the a/c as much in rainy season right?

Yeah, ours in the house is also almost that aged too. But the newer models are more energy efficient.

@ida123 I have seen some small aircon that has an average of P2 per hour in energy consumption. If only my room is small I would go for that one. Imagine how low the consumption is.

Really true! I am also having a real hard time to sleep every night because of the heat this summer. My children and I are also thinking about buying an AC. Yes you're right that it would be better if you choose the one with less electricity consumption.I'm sure it will also give you the same benefits with the other one.

@LdeL0318 .. Installation fee is a one - time payment only. Unlike electricity bill that you have to pay every month, right? Anyway, you still have the right decision.

Oh okay. I won't have a centralized aircondition since my workplace is just small.

I'm surprised that your place of employment doesn't provide air conditioning if it's hot.
