Does Goal Setting work for you?

I probably lack motivation or maybe my goals are just not that realistic. But whenever I list the things I wanted to achieve or do on a particular day, when it's time to do it, I find a million excuse not to. I've been a procrastinator most of the time and my best times to finish something is when it's almost deadline - but I don't come up with trashy results, most of the time, cramming actually helped me juice up with all the brilliant ideas I can come up with. It's just that I'm sick of it. I don't appreciate this type of behavior and I don't know if I have enough passion to really get rid of it. I wanted to be a Type - A personality once in a while just to help me put things in perspective.

Most of the time it did work out for me. I am working harder these days. So it all depends on oour hard work and setting goals. without goal setting we are not going to be much ahead in life as it is.

I agree! I do have small goals that I make sure I achieve every time. It helps to keep myself in check.

I've never been very good at setting goals and, like you, procrastination is one of my vices. I really want to change though, because the last minute rush to get things done is far too stressful.

I know, right. It is indeed. I mean, I don't really wish for an adrenaline rush at work but it happens every time. Whew! I'm starting to think I'm a corporate-adrenaline junkie. lol

Good goal.. I myself always done things they say in 11th hour.. Like what you said ideas come out when it's almost deadline. Though it's really nice to have a type A behavior..I did that once before but it's not just who I am.

thanks! It is indeed stressful sometimes to have a type A personality - I thought I could develop that within myself before but yeah, the old self just comes back naturally.

I don't make goals anymore as I was not reaching them, so what's the point? Just created anxiety.

I'm not that type of person, I want to work in gradually because I don't like cramming. It makes me sick.

I hope I can be like you. I wanted to have a steady flow where I can feel accomplished instead of rushed or exhausted

I do agree with you that at times we feel that goal setting is not needed but setting small goals will lead to big achievements .... So just stay motivated .... And do keep setting goals
