Not Really!

The saying, April showers bring May flowers, doesn't cut it today. We are having April showers on the first day of May. We did have the driest month of April, so I'm not upset. I do love a rainy day every so often to stay in and relax. My husband has been doing some stonework out front, and just returned with another load before it pours. I returned from my walk and morning coffee with the girls before the rain. I will be reading a good book after lunch. What are your Sunday plans?

I went out for a few hours today and saw something of interest. A sculputure of an alligator by the sculputurer and how neat it was in fact I put up a discussion about it with a picture.

What do you mean April showers for May 1 .

Here when it rains May 1 , it is considered a blessing . But it didn't rain yesterday , May 1 . It was sooo hot !

@DianneN Yes , it is and it can go as high as 38 degrees celcius or 100..40 farenheit . And it's humid , so the body becomes sticky from the heat .

Poor Doodles doesn't look very impressed with the weather today! Its a misty day here today, and its wet as it must have rained last night. I'm relaxing and not doing much of anything this afternoon. I bought a nice looking roast at the butcher's yesterday, so I'll season that up and put it in the oven for dinner. And I have a niece that has been texting me non-stop for the past half hour or so, hopefully our conversation dwindles down soon.

Unfortunately, Doodles doesn't mind sauntering outside in a drizzle, unlike me. I read upstairs, and Doodles joined me. The two of us took a 30 minute nap together in front of the fireplace. My brother's wife joined Facebook yesterday, so that kept me from myLotting. And just as I settled in on here, our son Facetimed us for 30 minutes. Finally, I'm here! My hubby picked up lunch and dinner, so I'm free until movie time.

I've been reading, but need to water my inside and outside container plants. I'm waiting for the wind to shift before going outside. East blowing winds cause me trouble. I need the sea air. Hopefully it will arrive soon.

@DianneN I was able to water the plants and ran two short errands. We often have off shore wind at night and the morning. It usually shifts to onshore around 10, but sometimes it doesn't shift at all. Then, I stay inside.

Here I am afraid it is snow showers kill my flowers. We have had 3 snow storms in the lst 45 days. I am over it and would love to have rain showers all by themselves.

I also love the rain but not the torrential ones escorted by loud thunderstorms and sharp lightnings. Yesterday was a tiring day for me. I had been here and there in the house doing household chores alone. My mom has been sick and my sister has been busy with her wedding preparations.
