Rainy Monday

I woke up this morning to dismal rainy Monday. Not only is it raining but it's chilly and damp which makes my knees throb. Oy Vey I hate when my days start off with aches and pains.
However, looking on the bright side of the day, I have had my morning coffee & breakfast. I mopped my bathroom floor and cleaned both sink & toilet. Emptied the dishwasher, called my daughter in law to see what time they are coming for Mothers Day as well as a call to my uncle who is celebrating his 84th birthday.
I think I did pretty good for this rainy Monday morning.
Now it's nearly lunchtime and I"m getting my moms meal ready for her. After she eats and is ready for her nap I've decided I need to finish my book. I only have about 30 pages left to read and I'm ready to see how this book wraps up. Then I can choose another book from my "to read" pile and have another adventure.
Since the day is flying by I'm sure it will be time to cook dinner in the blink of an eye.

I am sitting here with Mom she is sleeping..surgery for her on Wednesday after a 9 day hospital stay..cancerous. So sad on this Monday.

Raining a bit here. I haven't done a lot today, getting caught up on here after being off on Sunday. Walked to the bank to deposit a cheque. I have chicken cooking in the oven for supper, and need to go get some vegetables ready.
Hope you were able to finish your book. That's a good thing to do on a rainy day.

I was able to finish my book, took a little nap and now i'm making chicken for dinner too

@Marilynda1225 Good for you. My chicken was very good, and I have enough for a couple of more meals. I always cook extra.

Isn't it funny that they'd think of putting a pipeline in for oil but not for water ..... cheeze, just how dumb is that, right?
Hummm, I think I'll have more spaghetti, it's my favorite food right now.

Going well so far. I went to my yoga class this morning, then stopped by Costco for a "few' things on the way home. Time for lunch now, then table tennis for two hours and more mylot time, maybe, before starting dinner. It is my night to cook since Anne has Tai Chi class until 7.

Rainy and chilly here, too, and it's hurting my joints. Of course, it doesn't help that I've been typing most of the day. The nightly news is coming on now and they're going to do a segment on sleeping better, so I'm waiting to see how that goes. Maybe they will have some words of wisdom for me! lol

you sure did work a lot with all those aches and pains :) you are like me, let them go and get it done! I just finsihed a book and I am on another adventure too.

have to work through the pain or else I'd be in bed all day...what book did you read (or reading). I'm always interested in what books people are reading
