Rhett Bollinger reported the news on Tuesday the Minnesota Twins will have right handed starting pitcher Ervin Santana make his next scheduled start on Saturday May 7, 2016 versus the Chicago White Sox in Chicago Illinois. Santana who has pitched in four games during the 2016 baseball season has a record of no wins and one loss with an earned run average of 3.15. Santana had been placed on the 15 day disabled list on April 26, 2016 due to a lower back strain. Santana pitched a simulated game on Tuesday in a bullpen session throwing 30 pitches with no pain or discomfort which is good news for the Twins who are currently in last place in the American League Central Division with a record of eight wins and 18 losses in the 2016 baseball season. Santana will be eligible to come off the disabled list on May 7 which means that he will replace pitchers Tyler Duffey or Alex Meyer as the starting pitcher for the Twins on Saturday in Chicago.

Santana never became the pitcher the Angels hoped for but he is still serviceable eating up innings.
