Fighting back with a jingle

this is how our local govenment looked like during that Chinese mayor's administration--- dry!

The former mayor still wants his position back. He resorts to having an old male singer belt out a jingle where the present administration, “for 3 years, had no accomplishment whatsoever”. The vehicles playing that jingle roam around here and even in the city proper. Our present mayor, though suspended courtesy of the former mayor’s daughter, also asked a young male singer to “fight back with the same melody of the jingle but with different lyrics”. It mentions that the former mayor was so “kurakot” or one who took all the revenues of the city and made his own projects like adding an annex to his hotel. We smile when we hear the big sound of the gong and the jingle is aired. Yes, that is the mayor I will vote for. I just hope when the former mayor will find out that he is no longer needed for the position, peace will reign here in my city. Do your local hopefuls “fight each other back with songs or jingles”?

@ridingbet Hmmm no, not IP Ate. She's younger. Clue, she's the mother of one of the OTWOL characters. I mean, the real life mother of one of the characters there. I don't know, Ate. We are quite busy with our online job. We cannot go out to have fun. Awww! But yes, I am enjoying the work.

@ridingbet You still did it nicely, my dear! A neighbor went out of his house with a bolo & aimed it at a vehicle blasting a nonstop jingle for a candidate. The vehicle almost flew!

this morning at 5:45AM, a car intentionally stopped in front of our gate and there went the loud song of a congressman hopeful. i had to go out with the dogs for their pee) and looking sharply at the men who were standing right in front of our gate, i said in a loud voice (i have a heart ailment, i might have a heart attack with your loud songs and jingles) while touching my chest, and the driver switched off the loudspeaker. they must know the sentiments of the people, right?

@just4him it is fine with you there because you have only 2 presidential hopefuls, the Democrat and Republican, right? or are there more? here in my country, we have 5 candidates. locally, there are 3 hopefuls, and i wish the incumbent mayor will win again

That might be a fun change from some of the rhetoric and the bad behavior we see nationally. I can imagine that at one time in the past it may have happened.

bad attitudes come out after the election or when the candidate has won. i hope the mayor whom i am rooting for will maintain his clean image and not resort to graft and corruption, which is so likely to the former mayor

If the melodies are right and the mayor is suited for the job then he should receive the votes needed to be the overseer of one's town.

first was the former mayor's jingle throwing mud to the present mayor. the present (incumbent) mayor made the same jingle but with different lyrics. so, there is a case of "piracy" here.

I am glad they can not go inside our village, but when I am at the market, I can hear them blurting out songs which are so irritating plus it is so hot and with all those noise! Too much noise pollution! I won't vote for them!

that is what we also tell to those who "shout out" the songs of these candidates, to the point of staying in the front of our house for longer periods of time. i will not vote for these.
I have been doing this several times since this morning. I look at the driver of each vehicle that stops just in front of our gate and play loudly the political...

that is good.. actually, the fight among candidates should be on the professional level only, and personal level should be excluded.
