The picture was posted by my nephew at FB a while ago. They were actually the three children in the inflatable pool picture I have just previously posted .
They are waiting for the plane they will be taking together with my sister , 3 nephews and a niece. It’s their first time to take a plane so they are excited .
They will be the flower girls and ring bearer in my niece’s wedding in Manila on May 8 .
I am excited to know how they will react once they experience the plane touching down and running like hell in the runway before finally coming to a stop .
That’s the most part I get scared of when flying actually .
Their flight was supposedly 2:15 p.m. but it was delayed hence they were able to ride at 5:15 p.m.
So , how was your first time when you rode a plane ?
I was scared but I got used to it because my mother’s parents would always request us for a vacation in their place before , when were just 3 sibling yet and our grannies by my mother were still alive .

I was 4 or 5 years old when I first rode the plane but it was a very short one going to Cebu. I was with my parents at that time and I wasn't scared one bit. My mother told me to open my mouth when the plane was taking off. The pressure could make you deaf for awhile so opening your mouth or chewing a gum would help.

@SIMPLYD Yes i have. My father's Uncles and Aunts are all from Cebu. They have an ancestral home in Mandaue which was sold a couple of years ago and the proceeds were divided among all of us as heirs. My grandfather's two sisters living in Cebu were single.

Same as me and my sisters . But you were more courageous,
And when we go back to Manila (we were then living in Manila until i was already 7 ) we have a stop over at Cebu and i remember us and mother at Cebu airport buying pasalubongs . Oh there are lots of guitars there . Have you seen those ?
Yes, our mother let us chew chewing gum so the pressure in our ears would be bearable.

my first time was when i rode that bulilit plane going to Batanes in 1981 for our RHPP (post-graduate) work. the plane is small with those propellers that lift the plane up. Rustom Padilla was one of the stewards then

@ridingbet I think when he married Carmina he is fighting his being a gay . And i think , Carmina discovered it along the way so she separated from him . Maybe just like KC to Piolo .

@SIMPLYD yes, the small plane would have many turbulence because of the wind up high, and it was noisy. Rustom was a very handsome man and he was white-complexioned and smooth-skin. i wonder how he became BB Gandanghari now. Etchos!

The first time I rode a plane was when we won for a regional competition that made us qualify to join the national competition. It was held in Ormoc. It was only me and my student who was only 13 years old that time who would travel. I was nervous because it would be my first time and I also have a young kid with me. I just made myself awake all the time.
When we were inside the airplane already, I felt like I was in a ferris wheel especially when we were going up little by little. The sea of clouds by the small window of the airplane made me enjoy the flight. It was as if they were happily dancing with us. I was afraid of turbulence when we were about to land. They said it was normal.

@SIMPLYD I have tried to ride an airplane twice and maybe I will get used to such turbulence.
Actually my plan that year was to visit SG but I suddenly got a news that we need to book a flight to Visayas. That is why my original plan was cancelled.

oh poor kids have to wait that long for the flight ..but I'm sure it would be most memorable
I remember my first plane ride was when I was 18 from Manila to Legazpi..I was petrified .. I probably have about 75 flights since then but I am still anxious every time I fly ..

That is how it is in CEBPAC always in delay. I never ride again that plane. I experienced flying by CEBPAC, for no more availale seats in PAL. I used to ride on PAL. My first plane ride, of course, scared of the unknown hehehe.

I rode on a plane by myself to visit my sister when I was like 16. I was very frighten. The man beside me asked to trade seats throughout the flight and he had a laptop with a GPS sensor moving as the train was moving. I was horrified.

@SIMPLYD Nooo! He asked me to trade seats so he can sit closer to the window. He was stalking his laptop and it was scary because it looked like a GPS of the plane.
I traveled my first time at 16 and my first air plane ride too! SO I had no idea what to expect. I had a long layover too!

@BelleStarr Here if you can hire a small plane , you are considered rich because it's so expensive to hire one .

@SIMPLYD I'm glad they loved it. You can pinch your nose and blow or yawn to clear your ears, too. My dad put me on the plane and my relatives met me. I sat next to a very nice lady. Going home, I was more scared, because we saw Psycho at the movies the night before I left, and after seeing Disneyland, I thought my life was over. Lol!

I enjoyed my first ride. I wasn't scared. It wasn't a window seat. I wished it was a seat next to the window so I could have seen the clouds at a closer range.

@SIMPLYD I was excited then, not scared. If I'm not mistaken, I was 8 years old then.

Really you have never ridden a plane ? Yes, if you are afraid of the ferris wheel , like me , then you can take the plane , because i was scared of its take offs and touchdown yet i have ridden it more than a dozen time already .
It's different to ride a plane compared to the ferris wheel because the plane is closed while the ferris wheel is open .
