It Pays to Whine

I spent a lonely Mothers Day last year, even though my brother invited me to spend the day with him. My husband was with both of our sons in Chicago, as part of his birthday gift, for an eating and baseball manly trip. Both son's did not realize that it was Mothers Day when they booked the trip, 2 1/2 flight time from home. My husband has been to Chicago many times without me. I've only been to the airport. So I whined that I've never been there. Many times. My whining has paid off! My hubby surprised me yesterday! We will be visiting from May 27 to May 31 for a quick getaway. Those are the dates my son can babysit Doodles, the cat. Anyone want to meet up in Chicago???

That is so nice of your husband to plan this for you. I hope you really enjoy yourself. I would love to meet you, but I will be far away in New Brunswick on that weekend.

@BelleStarr I still love NYC the most. We usually revisit favorite big cities such as L.A., San Fran, Paris, London, etc. who knows? We may just hop on a plane and go together some day!!!

We are running away but going north to go fishing. Did I ever mention how good I am at fishing?...Just kidding, My daughter is joining us fro a couple of days and we are going to the spa. Have fun in Chicago. (I have only been at the airport there too)
