Slowly getting there

Slowly getting there Maybe tomorrow or Saturday or could even be Sunday before this yellow poppy is open and we all can view the beauty it going to be showing. This is the same poppy I took a photo of yesterday, see how much it’s opened since yesterday. The poppy is in the garden here, it’s only a small garden with a few flowers in of which I’ve been taking some of my photos from. I’ll post another one tomorrow on how far it’s got with the opening. Do you ever watch a flower opening, I guess many of us don’t.

I usually don't watch them while they are opening, but some hours later, when the flower is already open. On sunny days, they open more rapidly.

@kevin1877uk Well, I learned that flowers are alive, so they need to open their petals to get some sunlight, which is their main source of energy.

Have never watched one but t must be a beautiful thing. How about keeping the video rolling just incase it opens up at night;that way you can get the video and the whole process

Good idea but we have rain here and wouldn't trust my camera outside.

@kevin1877uk Well you can improvise. Wrap it well with nylon papers to make sure it does not get wet at all an place it in a manner that it cannot fall

Very interesting. Will you make one of those time lapse photos that shows the flower opening once it's fully open?
