One of the most beautiful gardens around is our next door neighbor's. She and her daughter built this garden that seems to get plenty of sun and water with variety of beautiful flowering plants. She and my wife Anne consult on what might be the best plants for our garden and the care and feeding of various plants. While the neighbor, Janet, has an organized and symmetrical garden, Anne, the art quilter prefers even her garden to be a bit more abstract. Sometimes good gardens make good neighbors.

I am like Anne, I prefer a bit more abstract garden, even if I like very much the one in this picture.

That does look like a lovely garden. That's the beauty of gardens - they can be completely different but still be lovely.

@DeborahDiane Thank you so much Deborah - I'm just getting things ready for planting now, but I won't put anything out for another week or so. I've been planting the baskets though as I can bring them in at night.

I gardened quite a lot in the past. It was always more fun when the neighbors got involved.

One could spend a lot of time admiring the beauty of that garden. So glad you and Anne get to enjoy it too. I am sure Anne's garden will be a sight for the eyes too! Two gardens to enjoy really are a blessing.

I'm sure Anne and Janet enjoy their chats about their gardens even though they are so different.

@JamesHxstatic Such simple pleasures are so enjoyable, aren't they? It doesn't have to be a big deal or super special - just friends sharing time together.

That is a lovely garden. I sometimes wish I had a place where I could garden, then I sigh and move on.

@DeborahDiane ...I can grow in a container just can't use much space because the mowing people come weekly and everything has to be put up and out of their way.

It is nice that we can all have our gardens whatever way we prefer, isn't it? We prefer ours with weeds this year....lots of weeds.
