Personal donation or massive lottery? Well? Just a thought.

If one chose to donate a portion of their earnings to another member of myLot is this even acceptable or recommended?
I don't know but sometimes I feel like sharing and other times I am as selfish as the next person who finds that dollar bill on the ground while walking casually by.
Some days I want the money for myself but other times I think about giving to someone who might need it more than me. Hmm. I tried to see if this was possible on two other sites but they went belly up before I got an answer. Have you ever donated your bank or a portion of it to another user at this or another site or do you think this form of charity better done so in the manner of a myLot Lotto?
If there was a random drawing, say of one out of all those who chose to go for it, you have to give a dollar of your own earnings to the pot and then when the rest of the users at this site wanted to say, Okay I am done. Now lets spin the wheel of fortune and see if just one lucky dog gets the winning lotto ticket and reap the rewards of a myLot jackpot lottery?

Well, it was just an idea of mine. Maybe one day it will happen but probably not because it was my idea not somebody else's. lol.

@lookatdesktop I know that in summertime people are off living life so it will be hard to get good conversations going. That might help.

I wonder why they wouldn't go for it. It would be a windfall for one or a few lucky people and if this was a monthly thing, more writers would want to participate in hopes of being one of these few lucky myLot lottery winners. The incentive to get a special lucky bonus for a few lucky of the draw would actually promote more activity here.

I have not done it on a site like mylot but some of us on another site a few years back got together by email and then Yahoo IM and each donated for a member who was in some deep financial trouble and we sent her a gift basket of fruits to eat for her and her daughter. She really appreciated that.

That sounds exciting. It really takes me a while to get a dollar, so maybe 50 cents?
