In my school days while returning to home I got a wallet on the way and I found a big amount of money with it. I was confused at that particular moment by thinking that what to do with the wallet, should I submit it to the nearest police station or its better to keep with me. Actually my greedy eyes confused me because I was unemployed in those days. But later when I reached home I found the address of the concern person and thought its better to return him. In the very next morning I reached in that address and refunded the wallet to the concern person. He was taken aback by seeing his wallet in my hand and appreciated me for my honesty.

The principle is simple. It's not your money and so we should always do our utmost to return it to the owner - or if they can't be found, the police.
