Did you ever have a tree house?

I love watching that one show on, I think, Nat Geo maybe, about building tree houses. These aren't those kinds some had as a kid (which I wanted and never could have despite having the trees for it, living on a county park), some of these are homes one would be proud to live in. They can even have plumbing making fake tree trunks to hide the pipes and spanning multiple trees. I actually think I would love that, so maybe some day, if I do the tiny house thing, I will have a tree house. Of course i have dogs, so it would have to have some kind of ramp up, oh maybe a drawbridge! Did you have a treehouse growing up? I am not even sure I have ever known someone with one.

I've always wanted a treehouse! We didn't have any big enough trees at our house to do that, but I did build a makeshift one out of wood palettes (but that was on the ground).

@Jessicalynnt I know - it'd be cool to be atop of a tree, where you can lookout down below and have "a view".

Ive only lived in a city for short periods of time and never in a fun part, like over shops near the active areas, just in dumpy complexes

Just thinking what happened to my response to this discussion? Must be me pressing some wrong buttons on the android Will have to think and recall what I had replied out last time I was here.... okay, It will be tough so let me skip[ trying to think and bother my brains and write something fresh two years back, my landlady's daughter and granddaughter (aged 4 then) had come to India and visited their family here. They stay in Johannesburg, SA. The house we stay in is on the first floor and as the ladies who own this place love trees, plants and flowers, fruits, they have some trees (6 or 7) around in the campus. The cute kid when came upstairs, she was all happy about the greenery around. Her momma said to her that this is the tree house. That was the first time I realized and heard anyone talking of Tree Houses beyond the Phantom Comics I mentioned on @much2say. Your description of the tree house(s) makes me interested. I dont know at the moment, if that would be worth an experience and if I would love to spend all my life in one, but for sure, a few days of holidaying is something I would very much look forward to.

I would have loved to have one, but it was not easy as I grow up in Paris, and trees were absent in my street.

@Jessicalynnt my mom got wiff ot their shenanigans and gave me chores then raided their hideout - I was allowed to clean it once in a while - it was even featured in a Local News Paper as the Tree House of the neighbourhood.

My brothers had a tree house but we all went up in it. No plumbing or anything fancy, it probably would be condemned by code enforcement today. The dog even climbed the ladder, she did not want to be left behind.

@Jessicalynnt I don't remember how she got down but this dog climbed ladders. I wish I could find the picture of her on the ladder. Maybe, my brother has it.

I never had a tree house when I was growing up. I always wanted one. Since we lived surrounded by woods. A tree house would of been a dream come true.

I love to watch that too. See what they are able to do. I never had a tree house. My one next door neighbor did and let me get up in it once as I recall. I was a tree climber like my mom. She broke her arm once jumping off a roof. She was such an adventurer.

We had acres, but they weren't ours, but the goverments, as we lived on a county park. Sad because then we weren't allowed a dog or things like treehouses

I so rarely see them, despite being in areas that have enough trees one would think they'd be all over!

A friend of ours had a very substantial tree-house when he was young. He and a group of his teenage friends built a beauty.

When I was a child I yearned to have a tree house. Now that I am older, I wouldn't want one. My fear of heights would keep on the ground.

I never had a tree house but I've always been fascinated with them. I would watch them create them on television and it would be amazing to have one. Some look better than homes. I see why you're also interested in tree houses.

right? I could see living in one. or one that perhaps had rooms in different trees with bridges between. this might stink in bad weather though lol
